About LUT

Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT) is a university located in Lappeenranta, Finland. It’s a public university known for its expertise in technology and business studies. LUT offers a wide range of degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels in fields such as engineering, business administration, natural sciences, and environmental technology. Since June 2022, LUT university launched its Department of Social Sciences, which is home to the Research Group on Economy, Technology and Society. The Department’s research is based on understanding society and human activities in relation to global sustainability problems. We believe that by engaging people and communities more strongly at the very start of problem-solving, we will bring about changes more quickly.
